Greenville, SC is one of those cities that’s topping just about every “best of” list. Between Business Insider’s “Top 50 Places to Live” this year, Travel + Leisure’s “Top 50 Best Places to Travel,” Southern Living’s “South’s Best Cities,” Forbes’ “15 Best Cities for Young Adults,” and even National Geographic’s “30 of the Best Cities in the US” …all the accolades can get a bit overwhelming!
But, they aren’t wrong! From Falls Park and the Liberty Bridge, to the new Cancer Survivor’s Park, to all the many restaurant options, Greenville has something to offer for just about everyone.
Since my business revolves around digital marketing, and heavily around social media management here in Greenville, I love perusing the many fun Instagram accounts that are based right here in town. I might be partial to my own channels (hi, @pickle.the.pig) , but I love looking at some of my friends’ and acquaintances’ channels as well and watching them grow.
So, without further ado, below are 5 of my absolute favorite Instagram accounts based in Greenville (in no particular order, of course!).
If you know me, you know I love bubble tea! By “love” I mean…can’t get enough of. Ever. This account features highlights of Cosmic Rabbits Tea Company’s fun drinks, customers, and events…and it’s just dang pretty! If you love interesting teas, themed parties, and lots of color, this is the account to follow!
If you live in Greenville, this is a must-follow! GVL Today is always the first to release the best insider tips on what the city has to offer. Whether it’s a new restaurant or retail spot, a new building or park project in the works, or a fun community event coming up, they will let you know before anyone else. And they have fun doing it!
Plants are pretty, the end! Ok, not really the end, but that’s really all you need to know. Savereign features shots of his store in the Village of West Greenville, styled photography, plus unique concepts for plant installations in your home or office. These plants get a lot of love, and so should this account!
Many people don’t realize how much fun different pets other than cats and dogs can be. Yeah, I get that a lot with my two pigs, Pickle and Sprout. Well, meet Tito – a lovable pet raccoon that lives right here in Greenville. From cute swimming photos, to showing off his artwork, to funny videos – it’s one of the cutest “insta pet” accounts you’ll find!
No, I’m not vegan, but yes, I am vegetarian! Either way, this account gives me great tips on eating sustainably, without forcing any judgments onto anyone. Jennifer features a great mix of vegan desserts, vegan tips for ordering at local restaurants, vegan events around the community, and of course her favorite vegan finds. It’s a great way to open your mind to all the possibilities that are truly out there!
